Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website geoposter.earth and all related services provided by Geoposter ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Our services

Geoposter provides an online tool that allows you to design custom map posters of any location in the world. You may purchase your designs as digital downloads or as printed physical products. Physical products are manufactured and shipped by our print-on-demand fulfilment partner, Prodigi.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our services. By placing an order, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Orders and payment

Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. An order is confirmed only when we send you an order confirmation or when payment is successfully processed.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of the product price. Shipping costs and any applicable taxes are calculated and displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

Payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the information you provide is accurate.

Payment is collected at the time of order. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

Digital downloads

Digital download products are delivered electronically. Once a digital download has been purchased and delivered, it is considered final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

Digital downloads are licensed for personal, non-commercial use. You may print the file for your own use but may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the design.

Physical products

Production and fulfilment

Physical products (posters, framed prints, canvas prints, mugs, and other items) are manufactured on demand by our fulfilment partner, Prodigi. Because each product is custom-made to your specifications, production begins once your order is confirmed and paid.

Quality

We and our fulfilment partner are committed to delivering high-quality products. All products are printed on premium materials and undergo quality checks before dispatch.

Cancellations, returns, and refunds

Cancellations

Because products are custom-made to order, cancellations are only possible if the order has not yet entered production. If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at hello@geoposter.earth. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee cancellation once production has begun.

Damaged or defective products

If your product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered, we will arrange a free replacement or full refund. You must notify us within 14 days of receiving the product and provide photographic evidence of the issue.

Satisfaction guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the quality of your product for any reason, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a reprint or refund at our discretion.

Non-refundable items

Because each product is custom-made, we cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, or design choices made by the customer (such as location, colours, or text). Please review your design carefully before ordering.

Intellectual property

Our content

The website, including its design, layout, graphics, logos, code, and all original content, is owned by Geoposter and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

Map data

The map data used in our poster designs is sourced from open-source mapping providers and is used in accordance with their respective licences. The artistic rendering and styling of the maps is our original work.

Your designs

You retain the right to use your custom poster designs for personal purposes. By placing an order, you grant us a limited licence to reproduce and print your design for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geoposter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for delays, failures, or errors caused by our third-party service providers (including payment processors and fulfilment partners), postal services, carriers, weather, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Geoposter, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of our services or your violation of these Terms.

Modifications to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email where possible.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
