What is Geoposter?
Geoposter is an online tool that lets you create custom map posters of any place in the world. You choose a location, pick a style, customise the design, and order a high-quality print — or download a digital file.
How do I create a poster?
Use our designer at geoposter.earth/design. Search for any city, address, or coordinates. Zoom and pan until the map framing is right. Choose from 18 colour themes. Customise typography, labels, and map layers. Then order a print or download a digital file. The whole process takes about a minute.
What map data do you use?
We use OpenStreetMap data rendered through MapLibre GL — the same high-quality, open-source mapping data used by major mapping platforms. Every road, river, park, and building is real and accurate.
Is this a good gift?
Map posters are one of the most personal gifts you can give. They work beautifully for weddings (the venue), anniversaries (where you met), housewarmings (the new neighbourhood), travel memories, and birthdays (birthplace map). They're meaningful, beautiful, and something people actually hang on their walls.
Design options
What sizes do you offer?
We offer US-friendly print sizes: 11x14, 12x16, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36 inches. Product options are shown only when Prodigi has a matching print, frame, or canvas product for the selected size. Digital downloads are available in PNG (300 DPI) and PDF format.
Can I zoom into a specific street?
Absolutely. The designer gives you full control — zoom in to a single block, zoom out to see an entire city, rotate the view, and adjust the pitch. Frame exactly the location that matters to you.
Can I customise the colours?
Yes. Choose from 18 curated colour themes, or override individual colour channels — roads, water, parks, buildings, text, background — to create a completely custom palette.
Can I add custom text?
Every poster includes a city name, country, and coordinates by default. You can customise all text labels — change the city name, add a personal message, a date, or a name.
Print quality
What paper do you use?
Our matte posters are printed on Prodigi enhanced matte 200gsm fine art paper with archival-quality inks. Framed prints use the same paper with real wood frames and Perspex glaze. Canvas prints are gallery-wrapped on solid stretcher bars.
Who prints the posters?
We partner with Prodigi, a leading print-on-demand provider. For US orders, products are routed through supported production and shipping options for the United States.
Shipping & delivery
How long does shipping take?
Production takes 2–5 business days. US shipping typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your location. Express shipping is available at checkout. Digital downloads are delivered instantly.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship physical products only within the United States. Digital downloads are available anywhere.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your US delivery address and the products ordered.
Returns & support
What if my poster arrives damaged?
Contact us within 14 days at hello@geoposter.earth with your order number and a photo. We'll send a free replacement or issue a full refund — your choice.
Can I get a refund?
If your poster arrives damaged or defective, we offer a full refund or free replacement. Because each poster is custom-made to your design, we can't accept returns for change of mind. Please review your design carefully before ordering.
Do you offer wholesale orders?
